When it comes to cosmetics everyone is always trying to be ahead of the curve. But differentiating what we should and should not follow is easier said than done, especially in hindsight. An area that we, consumers, should be extra careful around is how we experiment with our oral hygiene. The emphasis on the delicacy of our teeth is commonly spoken about within dental offices because so many things can damage our enamel, but nothing can bring it back. Among these harmful agents is charcoal toothpaste. 

From commercials on TV, ads on YouTube and videos on social media, there are plenty of ways consumers have heard about charcoal toothpaste and consequently developed an intrigue about the product. Ideally, a quick “pros and cons” google search is done prior to purchasing but that is not always the case.
